Supporting the value chain for fresh foods in Southwest Michigan
The Food Hub at ValleyHUB is a licensed food processing facility, equipped for minimal processing of farm-fresh produce as well as aggregation of other farm products. We primarily supply local institutions with seasonal produce in both raw and minimally processed forms, fresh in-season and frozen year-round.
We mainly work with growers who are successful at direct-market scale and beginning to scale up, easing their transition into the wholesale market. We also coordinate a local Group GAP food safety certification network, assisting growers in meeting the requirements of institutional buyers.
The Food Hub at ValleyHUB launched in January 2017.
